To Terra - Keiko Takemiya

My goods! I was given the postcards on the right (the Terra E cards, the black and white characters - I don’t know the story name - and the Gilbert cards) by one of the workers who remembered me from last week.
The b&w cards are Tenma no Ketsuzoku, I believe!
And on the bottom left, we can see how Takemiya could never decide what color Serge’s skin is…

On closer look, the poem engraved on the tombstone in ep. 11 is “Kann mir einer sagen” (Can someone tell me) by Rainer Maria Rilke (the tombstone even has the date and location where he wrote it i.e. 11/1/1898 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf).
So apparently Jomy could speak German (besides English, which appears to be the universal language in the anime) because he translated the first line and commented that it sounded like something Blue would say. Anyway, it’s a nice touch as the full poem is:
Kann mir einer sagen, wohin
ich mit meinem Leben reiche?
Ob ich nicht auch noch im Sturme streiche
und als Welle wohne im Teiche,
und ob ich nicht selbst noch die blasse, bleiche
frühlingsfrierende Birke bin?(translated badly by me:
Can someone tell me where my life will end up?
Will I too be blown away by the storm and become a wave in a pond?
Will I be yet another pale bleached birch frozen in Spring?)which describes well the situation of the Mu (and Jomy himself) in Nazca, I think.
oh this is pretty interesting…
matsuka’s excellent adventure
Ok, take two.
I still have a not so secret love of Toward the Terra.
